Work Smart Tip: Do You Know the Different Ways to Communicate in Teams

There are three main ways to communicate with people in MS Teams.

  1. Post a message (text, audio or video) in the Teams General Channel and it appears in the Teams feed. This allows the whole team to view and participate in any conversation, meeting, or text message.
  1. To keep your messages (text, audio or video) to your smaller working group you need to post them to the specific Channel – all people who are part of that channel can see and interact with the messages, videos, files and more
  2. To have private conversations with one or more people then use the Chat. Once again you can use video, audio & text

Meetings which you schedule in your Outlook or Teams Calendar are also only available to invited people
