“Initially a school leaver when I contacted Jo Pilon, I have secured a two year Business Administration Traineeship position with Roads and Maritime Services in Parkes, NSW.
I am currently acting in a Business Administrative role in Newcastle while actively seeking full time employment still within RMS in the Newcastle region.
I had heard so many positive things about Jo’s ability to write great job applications. As I was fresh out of school with little knowledge on how to create an application, I knew I needed Jo’s skills and experience to produce a well written, cohesive job application that would significantly increase my chance of being selected for the job.
I could not be happier with where I am now, I am in both the position and location. I work with the best bunch of people who make work enjoyable everyday. Without engaging Jo to write my job application, I know for a fact I would not be where I am now.”
I have worked in agriculture since I was a young bloke and have a lot of experience but no qualifications.
A job came up in the organisation that I worked for that I knew I could do, but I was not confident that I would get a look in due to my not having the required formal qualifications.
Kate Pilon helped me by asking a lot of questions that made me realise how much I had achieved and could offer, she then wrote me a CV based on our chat.
Even though I did not have the qualifications mentioned in the job advertisement, I made it to final round interviews based on my resume and how it communicated that I had relevant skills for what they were looking for.
I’ve since used that resume to apply for another job, which I ended up getting.
